Recent hawkish comments by some Fed officials are also weighing on the markets. Asian markets ended mixed on Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Japanese stock market is significantly higher on Friday, recouping some of the losses in the previous three sessions, with the benchmark Nikkei 225 moving above the 27,700 level, lifted by upbeat domestic earnings and solid outlooks reported by some major heavyweight companies. The Australian stock market is notably lower on Friday, extending the losses in the previous session, with the benchmark S&amp;P\/ASX 200 staying below the 7,500 level, with losses across most sectors, led by technology and energy stocks as well as coal and gold mining stocks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The U.S. dollar index, which measures the greenback against six peers including the euro and yen, ticked up slightly to 103.27, sticking to the middle of its range this week.
