The announcement comes nearly two months after the country ended its zero-COVID policy. Japan\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Nikkei 225 index fell 0.7%, and was also set to snap five straight weeks of gains amid continued uncertainty over the path of monetary policy under new Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Crude oil futures settled lower on Thursday, extending losses to a third straight session on recent data showing a surge in U.S. crude inventories last week.
